Chasing losses means continuing to play or increasing spending to recover money already lost. Past losses do not guarantee future returns.
Identify changes to the original plan
Notice whether you raise a limit after losing, extend a session after intending to stop or use money intended for essentials. Saying I will stop when I break even can make your stopping point depend on an outcome you cannot control.

Do not use a calculation as a reason to continue
Calculating that one large win would cover all losses does not show how likely that win is. Increasing the stake also increases what can be lost on the next outcome. A record of past results can show spending, but it does not create a right to future payouts.

Create a concrete stopping action
Close the session, move away from the screen and avoid additional transactions. Tell a trusted person you intend to stop so the decision does not depend on an urge felt alone. If using device or service blocks, check their scope and limits; one tool should not be assumed to block every channel.

When to seek support
If the activity affects sleep, relationships or responsibilities, or you hide your spending, seek appropriate support. Services listed by international sources may be limited to their own countries. This article does not diagnose a condition or list unverified Malaysian helpline numbers.
